2.4.5 Standards for Safekeeping of Firearms.

The safekeeping of firearms is essential to ensure that access to firearms is limited to those who are fit and proper to use and possess such firearms.

To set a general standard for safes, strong rooms and safety devices, minimum requirements have been finalized in co-operation with South African National Standards.

These minimum requirements were integrated into the Firearms Control Regulations.
