Décret n° 62-2 du 8 janvier 1962 règlementant l'importation et la cession des armes perfectionnées ainsi que leurs munitions.

Toute personne convaincue d'avoir, contrairement aux dispositions du présent décret, importé, détenu ou cédé des armes à feu dites perfectionnées ou leurs munitions, est punie, conformément aux dispositions du décret du 18 août 1922, d'un emprisonnement de trois (03) mois à un (1) an et d'une amende de 20.000 à 40.000 francs ou de l'une de ces deux peines seulement.

Toute infraction autre que les dispositions du présent décret est punie d'un emprisonnement d'un (01) à six (06) mois et d'une amende de 10.000 à 40.000 francs ou de l'une de ces deux peines seulement.

Toute condamnation prononcée par application du présent décret entraîne la confiscation des armes et munitions, objet de l'infraction. (article 18).

Possession and Commerce

Decree No. 62-2 of January 8, 1962, regulating the import and transfer of sophisticated weapons as well as their ammunition.

Anyone convicted of importing, holding or transferring, against provisions of this Decree, sophisticated weapons or their ammunition, is punishable, in accordance with the Decree of August 18, 1922, with a prison term of three (3) months to one (1) year and a fine of 20,000 to 40,000 francs, or only one of these penalties.

All offences to other provisions of this Decree are punishable with a fine of 10,000 to 40,000 francs and a prison term of one (1) to six (6) months, or only one of these penalties.

Any sentence pronounced under this Decree leads to the confiscation of weapons and ammunition involved in the offence (Article 18).
