No obstante, tanto en la Ley No. 36 sobre Comercio, Porte y Tenencia de Armas de Fuego (vigente), como en el proyecto de la nueva ley que cursa en el Senado (Ley para el Control de Armas de Fuego, Municiones, Explosivos y Artículos Relacionados), se exige explicitamente que para toda actividad relacionada con armas de fuego, se necesita estar provisto de la respectiva licencia.
