Articulo 42. Ejercicio del Privilegio de Tener y Portar un Arma de Fuego

El ejercicio del privilegio de tener, portar y usar armas de fuego se autoriza mediante una licencia oficialmente emitida por la Policia Nacional y conlleva determinados deberes, obligaciones y responsabilidades, por lo cual los propietarios de armas de fuego de uso civil están obligados a tramitar la solicitud de la licencia correspondiente en un plazo no mayor de quince días hábiles, contados a partir de la fecha de la obtención de la factura pro forma, para la posterior formalización de la adquisición.

Article 42. Exercising the Privilege to Own and Carry a Firearm

The exercise of the privilege to own, carry and use firearms is authorised via a licence officially issued by the National Police and carries certain duties, obligations and responsibilities, which oblige all firearm owners to process the application for the corresponding licence in no longer than 15 working days starting from the date the pro-forma invoice is issued, for the purchase to be formalised.
