Article R. 314-1

Les armes, munitions et leurs éléments appartenant aux services de l'Etat ou placés sous leur contrôle font l'objet de dispositions particulières édictées par les ministres dont relèvent ces services.

Article R. 314-2

Les personnes physiques ou morales détentrices d'armes à feu sont tenues de prendre toute disposition de nature à éviter l'usage de ces armes par un tiers.

Article R. 314-3

Les armes à feu, leurs éléments et leurs munitions de catégorie A1 et B2 doivent être conservés:
1° Soit dans des coffres-forts ou des armoires fortes adaptés au type et au nombre de matériels détenus;
2° Soit à l'intérieur de pièces fortes comportant une porte blindée et dont les ouvrants sont protégés par des barreaux.

Les matériels des 6°, 8°, 9° et 10° de la catégorie A2, dont les systèmes d'armes ont été neutralisés, doivent être conservés dans des locaux sécurisés par une alarme audible de la voie publique et par des moyens de protection physique adaptés.

Article R. 314-4

Les personnes physiques ou morales détentrices d'armes à feu, de leurs éléments de catégorie C3 et du 1° de la catégorie D4 doivent les conserver:
1° Soit dans des coffres-forts ou des armoires fortes adaptés au type et au nombre de matériels détenus;
2° Soit par démontage d'une pièce essentielle de l'arme la rendant immédiatement inutilisable, laquelle est conservée à part;
3° Soit par tout autre dispositif empêchant l'enlèvement de l'arme.

Les munitions doivent être conservées séparément dans des conditions interdisant l'accès libre.

Section 1: Storage

Article R. 314-1

Firearms, ammunition and their components belonging to military forces or State civil services, or placed under their control, are subject to specific provisions enacted by the Ministers in charge of these services.

Article R. 314-2

Individuals or legal persons possessing firearms must take all possible measures to avoid allowing others to use them.

Article R. 314-3

Firearms, their components and ammunition of categories A1 and B2 must be kept:
1° Either in safes or secured cabinets adapted to the type and number of held materials;
2° Or inside strong-rooms equipped with an armoured door and with openings protected with bars.

Materials of 6°, 8°, 9° and 10° of category A2, whose weapon systems have been neutralised, must be kept inside secured premises by an alarm audible in the public street and by adapted means of physical protection.

Article R. 314-4

Individuals or legal persons possessing firearms, their components of category C3 and of 1° of category D4 must keep them:
1° Either in safes or secured cabinets adapted to the type and number of the held materials;
2° Or by dismantling a fundamental part of the firearm rendering it immediately unusable, which is stored somewhere else;
3° Or by any other mechanisms preventing the use of the firearm.

Ammunition must be stored separately in accordance with conditions which deny free access.
