Article 7-1
Le présent arrêté est applicable en Polynésie française et en Nouvelle-Calédonie… sous réserve des adaptations suivantes:
1° Les références au préfet de département sont remplacées par les références au haut-commissaire de la République;
2° Les références à la préfecture ou aux services préfectoraux sont remplacées respectivement par les références au haut-commissariat de la République ou aux services du haut-commissariat de la République;
3° La référence au commandant du groupement de gendarmerie départementale est remplacée en Polynésie française, par la référence au commandant de la gendarmerie pour la Polynésie française et en Nouvelle-Calédonie, par la référence au commandant de la gendarmerie pour la Nouvelle-Calédonie et les îles Wallis et Futuna;
4° Les informations enregistrées dans l'application de gestion du répertoire informatisé des propriétaires et possesseurs d'armes sont communiquées sur leur demande aux agents des services des douanes de la Polynésie française et de la Nouvelle-Calédonie, dans le cadre de leurs attributions, aux fins d'authentification des autorisations d'acquisition, de détention et de port d'armes.

Order of November 15, 2007 on the Creation of the Application for the Management of the Computerized Register of Owners and Holders of Firearms
Article 7-1
This Order is applicable in French Polynesia and in New-Caledonia… subject to the following adaptations:
1° References to the Prefect of the department are replaced by references to the High Commissioner of the Republic;
2° References to the Prefecture or to prefectural services are replaced, respectively, by references to the High Commissioner [institutions] of the Republic or by services of the High Commissioner of the Republic;
3° The reference to the Commander of the Departmental Gendarmerie is replaced in French Polynesia, by the reference to the Commander of the Gendarmerie for French Polynesia, and in New Caledonia, by the reference to the Commander of the Gendarmerie for New Caledonia and Wallis & Futuna Islands;
4° Data records in the Application for the Management of the Computerized Register of Owners and Holders of Firearms are communicated, on demand, to agents of the Customs services of French Polynesia and of New Caledonia, within the framework of their responsibilities, in order to authenticate authorisations for acquisition, possession, and carrying of firearms.
