Article 83
S'il est détenteur d'armes ou de matériels de guerre, le titulaire de l'autorisation mentionnée au dernier alinéa de l'article 741 doit tenir un registre spécial où sont inscrits les matériels mis en fabrication, réparation, transformation, achetés, vendus, loués ou détruits.
S'il effectue des opérations d'intermédiation au sens de l'article R. 311-12 du code de la sécurité intérieure, le titulaire de l'autorisation mentionnée au dernier alinéa de l'article 74 doit tenir un registre spécial où sont inscrits, dès les premiers contacts, le nom des entreprises mises en relation ou des autres participants à l'opération, le contenu et les étapes de celle-ci. Sont en outre inscrites sur ce même registre, dans les mêmes conditions, les opérations d'achat et de vente portant sur des matériels situés à l'étranger lorsque les matériels concernés ne sont pas soumis aux dispositions des articles L. 2335-1,3 L. 2335-2 et L. 2335-9 du code de la défense.
Les registres mentionnés aux alinéas précédents sont tenus jour par jour, opération par opération, sans blancs ni ratures… ils sont cotés à chaque page et paraphés à la première et à la dernière page par les soins soit du commissaire de police compétent, soit du commandant de la brigade de gendarmerie.

Article 83
If he is the holder of firearms or weapons of war, the holder of the authorisation, referred to in the last paragraph of Article 741 must keep a special register in which should be recorded any manufactured, repaired, transformed, purchased, sold, rented or destroyed materials.
If he conducts intermediary operations, as defined in Article R. 311-12 of the Internal Security Code, the holder of the authorisation, referred to in the last paragraph of Article 74, must keep a special register in which should be recorded, from the first contacts, the name of companies put in contact, or of other parties of the operation, the content and the steps of it [the operation]. Under the same conditions, the purchase and sale operations of materials located abroad must also appear on this register, when the concerned materials are not subject to the provisions of Articles L. 2335-1,3 L. 2335-2 and L. 2335-9 of the Defence Code.
The registers referred to in the previous paragraphs must by kept day by day, operation by operation, without spaces or deletions… they are numbered on each page and initialled on the first and last page either by the competent Police Commissioner, or by the Commander of the Gendarmerie.
