Articulo 103. Venta ilegal de armas de fuego

Comete el delito de venta ilegal de armas de fuego, quien sin tener la debida autorización de la DIGECAM, venda armas de fuego.

Se exceptúa el caso contemplando en el artículo 61 de la presente Ley.

El responsable de este delito será sancionado con una pena de cinco (5) a ocho (8) años de prisión inconmutables y comiso de las armas.

Si las armas vendidas son de las clasificadas en esta Ley como bélicas o de uso exclusivo del Ejército de Guatemala, la pena será de ocho (8) a doce (12) años de prisión inconmutables y comiso de las armas.

Article 103. Illegal Sale of Firearms

Those who, without authorisation from DIGECAM, sell firearms commit the offence of illegally selling firearms.

Exceptions to this rule are included in article 61 of this Act.

The responsible perpetrator of this offence shall be punished by a prison sentence of five (5) to eight (8) years and confiscation of firearms.

If the firearms sold are those classified under this Act as military weapons or for exclusive use by the Guatemalan military, the penalty shall be eight (8) to twelve (12) years in prison and confiscation of firearms.
