Articulo 69. Medidas de Seguridad para el Transporte o Traslado

Toda persona natural que requiera trasladarse dentro del territorio boliviano, por vía aérea, terrestre, fluvial o lacustre, portando su arma de fuego, municiones y otros artefactos y materiales relacionados de uso civil, tiene la obligación de llevar consigo su licencia y matricula del arma.

En caso de trasladarse vía aérea la persona portadora de arma de fuego, municiones y otros artefactos y materiales relacionados de uso civil, deberá declarar en tal situación al momento de abordar, en el formulario correspondiente y como medida de seguridad entregar su arma de fuego descargada y asegurada al responsable del medio de transporte, que será restituida al arribar a su destino final.

El responsable del medio de transporte aéreo tiene la obligación de informar en el dia al Ministerio de Defensa, con copia al IITCUP para su registro en el REAFUC, sobre las armas de fuego, municiones y otro artefacto y materiales relacionados de uso civil que están trasportando.

Supreme Decree No. 2175, Regulation of the Act No. 400 on the Control of Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives and other Related Materials

Article 69. Security Measures for Transport or Transfer

Any individual wishing to move inside the Bolivian territory by air, land, river or lake while carrying a firearm, ammunition and other related items and materials for civil use, must [also] carry his licence and the registration number of the firearm.

Should a person carry a firearm, ammunition and other related items and materials for civil use by air he shall declare, upon boarding, the material under his possession in the corresponding form and hand over his firearm, unloaded and secured, to the individual responsible for the means of transportation, for it to be handed back upon arrival to the final destination.

The person responsible for the aircraft shall inform the Ministry of Defence, together with a copy to IITCUP for registration in REAFUC, of the firearms, ammunition and other related items and materials for civil transportation.
