Artículo 63. Licencia de importación y prohibición de exportación

Solo las personas jurídicas, de capital panameño y que cuenten con acciones nominativas, podrán importar armas de fuego, sus accesorios, municiones, cartuchos, materiales relacionados y artículos defensivos no letales, previa autorización, mediante resuelto de importación expedido por la DIASP. No podrá autorizarse la importación de armas prohibidas en esta Ley.

Los embarques autorizados solo podrán destinarse a la comercialización dentro del territorio de la República de Panamá. Se prohíbe la exportación de los embarques importados al territorio nacional…

Article 63. Import Licence and Prohibited [Re-]Export

Only legal persons, with Panamanian capital and registered shares, may import firearms, their accessories, ammunition, cartridges, related materials and non-lethal defensive devices, with prior import authorisation issued by DIASP. The importation of prohibited weapons is not authorised by this Act.

Authorised shipments may only be intended for commercial purposes within the territory of the Republic of Panama. The export of shipments imported into the national territory is prohibited…
