Integral System for Controlled Materials (SIGIMAC)

The National Firearms Registry (RENAR) created the Integral System for Controlled Materials (SIGIMAC) through Provision 643/12. This was due to a need for a tool that provides users with a better service, more effective, agile, safe and reliable.

SIGIMAC operates on an Internet platform and is a versatile and efficient management tool that enables rapid exchange of information needed by RENAR for control and oversight.

It is through this new online system that all users related to the use, manufacture, import, sale and registration of controlled materials (firearms, explosives, bulletproof vests, etc.) directly manage their products and activities, ensuring quality of information and transparency in the transaction.

Since its implementation, SIGIMAC has achieved modernisation of the registration system, control of the inventory and of movements of controlled materials in real time, transparency in transactions and efficiency of controls, inspection and registration.
