There are close to two million registered weapons in Sweden, distributed among 600,000 Swedes.

The number of registered weapons in Sweden is up to 1 955 478. It's almost a weapon for every fifth Swede. But the weapons are distributed among 599 243 Swedes who have a weapon license .

Most of the weapons are in Jämtland where 17 percent - 596 weapons per 1,000 inhabitants - of the residents own a weapon. After that, Norrbotten comes with 526 weapons per inhabitant.
