Maputo — The Mozambican police have seized five AK-47 assault rifles and arrested three men who were trying to sell them in the town of Maxixe, in the southern province of Inhambane.
According to a report in Thursday's issue of the independent daily “O Pais”, the guns were found on the back seat of an Isuzu car belonging to a member of the group, who claimed his sole responsibility was to guarantee transport of the weapons.
